I wanted to take just a few moments to explain to you about our service,
and find out how you would like to proceed. I want to start by saying
HailYes is not Uber or Lyft, nor do we consider the service we are
offering to fall within the bounds of a Transportation Network Company
that you have outlined. Instead, we are trying to market HailYes as a
pure marketplace. Because of this, we do minimal checking to make sure
the partners we sign up are who they say they are, but we make no
attempt to do background checks, we do not carry insurance, and we do
not promote HailYes as a transportation brand identity. We also impose
no restrictions on the kind of vehicle you may operate, we do not set
the rates you can charge, and we do not remove partners from the service
except in the case where the original application was fraudulent, where
we are instructed to do so by the applicant, where the application has
grossly violated the terms or conditions, or we are instructed to do so
by a authorized government agency. When you sign up with HailYes, you
are truly your own boss.
In contrast to other services, HailYes is an open framework and
electronic marketplace that allows companies and independent operators
to market their services to the public without restrictions. We do have
a minimum subset of documents we require you to submit so that we can
verify you are who you say you are, and that you do in fact have the
vehicle you say you do. Beyond that, we do not manage you or restrict
what you can do. Whatever laws currently govern your operations in your
locality will continue to govern your operations. We currently do not
receive any fees from you or become involved in your transactions.
Whatever manner you currently use to accept money from customers is the
way you will accept money under HailYes. Whatever you currently charge
for your services will be the fees that the customer will pay. There are
no extras, and we do not provide any kind of supplemental liability
insurance. As a HailYes partner, you retain your own brand identity. If
you own and operate a taxi company or cooperative, HailYes passengers
will come to know you by the name of your company, and they will be able
to filter based on your company (a feature of a coming software
release). The HailYes app is simply a medium they use to find you.
You can think of HailYes as a computer operating system, such as
Microsoft Windows. A Transportation Network Company, such as Uber or
Lyft, would then be user applications running on top of that operating
system. In the market today, Uber and Lyft have developed their own
operating systems in addition to their own user applications, however
World Moto believes that HailYes will disrupt this model. HailYes
intends to make it easy for HailYes Partners to become their own Uber.
Sincerely,
Jeff Farrel
